Medically Administered Products

CommunityCare is making it easier for eligible Commercial Large Group, Commercial Small Group and Individual ACA & Standardized Plan members to access certain injectable medications.

Effective September 1, 2026, eligible members may be able to receive certain injectable medications through their pharmacy benefit, in addition to the existing medical benefit.

This change gives members and their providers more flexibility in how these medications are obtained. The pharmacy benefit option is voluntary, and providers may continue to obtain these medications through the medical benefit when appropriate.

What This Means for Members

This expanded option is designed to help make accessing medications more convenient and support continuity of care. Depending on their coverage and treatment needs, eligible members may benefit from:

• More options: An additional way to obtain certain injectable medications.
• Greater convenience: More flexibility in accessing medications.
• Support for ongoing treatment: Additional options to help members stay on track with their prescribed therapy.
