Employee Assistance Program Organizational Consultation
The role of the Management Consultant is to provide guidance and strategies in accordance with your company's policies and procedures on handling employee job performance, attendance and conduct problems. Supervisors and managers may confidentially contact the Management Consultant as often as needed, even if they are not certain they will make an EAP referral.
The Management Consultant helps determine if the situation is appropriate for referral to the EAP, reviews supervisory documentation of job performance deficiencies, and discusses ways to approach the employee regarding performance problems and referral to the EAP.
When employees are management referred and give their consent, the Management Consultant actively and regularly monitors employee progress throughout the course of the EAP and any recommended treatment. The Management Consultant provides the supervisor with information needed to effectively conduct supervision and assists with job readjustment.
