On March 5, the White House announced a regulatory change under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to allow health insurance issuers to renew their existing small business benefit plans through October 2016.
The announcement included model notifications that are required to be mailed separately to renewing groups. Here is a sample copy of the cover letter and required model notice that CommunityCare is mailing to small business groups with April, May and June renewals, as well as a sample copy of the cover letter and model notice that will be sent to small business groups with July-December renewals.

The Tulsa Regional Chamber and CommunityCare have launched ChamberCare Plus, a new program that will offer a wide range of health insurance plans and employee benefits exclusively to chamber member companies.

For the transfer to be valid, the letter must be on the group's letterhead, be signed by an authorized representative of the group and name a producer that holds a valid appointment with CommunityCare. The letter should request an effective date for the appointment transfer to take place.
